OPERATIONS MANAGER AT BROCKLEY BREWERY

The Role: We’re looking for a self-starting and highly organised Operations Manager to oversee our supply chain, warehouse and logistics, office and premises management.

The role involves working collaboratively with our Production, Sales and Taproom teams to ensure the smooth running of our brewery operations. Key Duties: As Operations Manager you will have the opportunity to get involved in all the different aspects of the business.

  • Working closely with the management team responsible for all brewery operations: (production planning, logistics, ordering and procurement, and site management and compliance).

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory obligations (such as health and safety, fire safety, first aid, etc.) and approvals (SALSA).

  • Enforcing, reviewing and training on occupational Health and Safety standards.

  • Co-ordinating new product releases.

  • Responsibility for stock management, integrity and legality.

  • Focussing on controlling costs through identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies within the company.

  • Ensuring that all customer orders are fulfilled with the highest quality customer service.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and order across our two brewing sites and warehouse at all times.

  • Oversight of all incoming deliveries (raw materials, packaging, etc).

  • Constantly seeking opportunities to improve processes and procedures.

Essential skills & qualifications:

  • Experience of managing, encouraging & training a diverse team (performance reviews, recruitment, remuneration).

  • Experience of working in a brewery, food production or a manufacturing industry at operational level.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • A flexible can-do attitude with willingness to tackle any challenge.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.

  • A keen attention to detail and accuracy; must be reliable and efficient.

  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Competent IT skills.

  • Legal right to work in the UK.

Great to have:

  • An interest in craft beer and beer production.

  • Knowledge of beer duty and legal requirements.

  • Experience of working in a brewery.

  • Forklift operator’s licence.

  • Project management skills
